ご主人が趣味のジャグリングボール5個を懐に忍ばせて、国内外を旅していたころ、ニュージーランドで出会ったのが清潔で快適なゲストハウス。日本にもこんな宿を作りたいと、10年近く働いて資金を貯め、奥さんと始めたのがこの宿だ。
木造の建物、広々としたラウンジ、24時間利用OKの個別シャワールーム、フリーチョイスの朝食など、旅人のかゆいところに手が届く、理想のバックパッカーズだ。

it has no curfew, private rooms and friendly,
English-speaking staff. Western-style facilities
and Internet access (per minutes \10) make
it easy to feel at home. Take the Tozai line
to the Shiroishi stop (four past Odori) and
from there it's about seven-minute walk.

English-speaking staff. We've received enthusiastic
feedback about this place. Take the Tozai
subway line to Shiroishi station (four stops
from Odori); it's about a seven-minutes walk.

Spruce and friendly new
backpackers' hostel
near Shiroishi subway station,
five stops
out from Sapporo Station
on the Tozai line.
The smaller dorms can be
booked as private
rooms (sleeping up to 4)
for an additional
fee. There's a clean, well-equipped
kitchen
and pleasant lounge. The
hostel is a bit
hard to find: check their
website for a detailed

metro line toward Shin-Sapporo
and get off
at Shiroishi. From the

town center, Ino's
is the real backpacker's
choice, with full
amenities and a pastoral
lounge. Communal
